I might be a bit late in this post, but Square Enix officially announced a new wave of Final Fantasy IX music boxes, launching in October 2025. This wave will include three iconic tracks from the game, and join the existing line of Final Fantasy music boxes, including FFIX’s Melodies of Life, FFVIII’s Eyes on Me, FFVII Aerith’s Theme, and lots more!

The new music boxes will feature the following beloved Final Fantasy IX tracks:
- “Roses of May” – Beatrix’s haunting and elegant theme.
- “Not Alone” – A powerful piece from one of the game’s more moving moments.
- “A Place to Call Home” – The theme that no player could ever miss as it plays in the opening splash screen!
I’m sure avid FFIX fans will look forward to these. Personally, I love ‘Not Alone’, and have a new love for ‘Roses of May’, so I’m looking forward to adding all three to my collection!
Compact Design with Collectible Packaging
Like previous entries in the Square Enix music box series, each piece plays a short, looped segment of its respective theme. They maintain the same compact form factor that fits easily on a desk or shelf.
This release also introduces new box colors and also includes designs based on theme song, as earlier music boxes had.
