Finally, pre-orders for the Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Street Fighter 6 figure are open! This is expected to release late October/November 2025 from 12,100Yen (check your favourite retailers for prices since it’s an import figure).
Actually, we’ve had pre-orders for Luke and Chun-Li already, but for whatever reason, Ryu is the third one.
What to expect from the Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Street Fighter 6
I’m looking forward to it, as a Street Fighter fan and Ryu being one of my favourite videogame characters. To be honest, I’m fussy with Ryu figures, and Revoltech have done one years ago, but this time it’s based on his Street Fighter 6 default look. That means we get bearded Ryu, his maroon robe (soft goods, yes!), plenty of hand parts, Hadouken and Hashogeki effect parts, extra face parts and 1 for Luke. If you buy from Kaiyodo directly, or through a third-party that can source it, then there’s a bonus head for Ryu also available.

My Initial Thoughts
Obviously, I don’t have the figure or hands on, but just based on the promo shots and other Revoltech stuff, I expect this will be quite fun to pose, and with some fine adjustment and use of reference material, he’ll be able to strike some iconic and amazing poses. We already see several iconic poses, from charging his hadouken to launching into a shoryuken. The Revoltech line is known for crazy dynamic posing, so I reckon we can get more out of him and plenty of great photos.
I’m liking the use of soft goods, that’s a welcome touch and it looks good. It’s too much to expect the pants to also be fabric, maybe we’ll see that in a 1/6 scale from someone else (RocketToys, please!) Being Revoltech though, the joint and body look isn’t for everyone. But I always say with some smart posing and angles, you can minimise the big joints e.g. the shoulders.
If I nitpick now, it’s the hole on the elbow, and the faces (with teeth) that make me stutter. There’s probably a reason for the holes in the elbow (manufacturing/mold process?), but the face, mainly the one with teeth exposed I guess I am not really feeling at this point. The others look decent, though!
I think I’ll try and pick this up given it’s a new 1/12 figure of Ryu (that isn’t Jada Toys), though I am undecided to go with the regular, or the slightly more expensive bonus version through a third-party vendor.
