Friends! Welcome! It’s 2025 and I’ve decided to add a blog to my list of outlets. Perhaps you already know my YouTube channel (or not!). Just like that, I’ll be diving into the exciting world of hobbies (toys, game). I hope there’ll be something of interest for you.
At the moment I’m really interested in action figures, especially things like S.H.Figuarts, Nendoroid, Metal Build and random Chinese figures (I’ll have to share my slippery slope story soon). I’m also still into videogames, though I maybe don’t play as much as I did in my teens.
Hobby999 together with my ongoing YouTube channel, I want to share some of these cool experiences, be they reviews and opinions, news or even stories of my past and present. I’m excited to keep being a hobbyist, and who knows, dabble in even more hobbies unrelated to games and toys!
Why “Hobby999” instead of previous aliases like Jehdii or Ryu Kazama? While those multiple alias still remain (I made those in high school), I wanted to make something a bit more meaningful in name (okay, sure, “hobby” could be anything!). And so the word “hobby” combined with the lucky number “999”, signifying longevity in Chinese culture, Hobby999 appears!
Anyway, this blog is an extension of my journey as a collector of all-sorts, so follow along! Once again, welcome!
